Danny Fisher, a young man growing up in a hard world/environment, he had to figure out how to survive in a world that he thought was unreasonable and unforgiveable.

This story is relatable for those who came from poor families, dealt daily with bullies, or worried about were that next meal would come from. Children in these positions do tend to grow up very fast.

Danny Fisher was no exception, he faced daily bulling, racism from the neighborhood, and his search for parental love and guidance drove his decision making.
